Sure, it is up to him to use them, but nothing says you can’t make them for him. The VFW makes them all the time for their members.

you will see a little lip on the cap against the hub. take a flat head screwdriver and tap it between the lip of the cap and the hub. not too far you dont wanna put a hole in it. then swist the screwdriver to pry it out. work around the cap then it will come off.

They just pay tax on the wholesale price. Also many people buy merchandise at wholesale for their personal use and pay tax on it. That’s why many wholesalers ask if they should charge you tax. If you don’t want to pay sales tax it’s up to you to show the wholesaler your tax certificate.

Wholesale, at least while you’re just starting up, may not be realistic because of the quantities involved to make it worthwhile. That could be a huge cash output with little yet in the way of incoming funds to validate the expenditure. I suggest you build up to that point.

I don’t know about business licenses, as that will depend on your local city and county. To save on paying sales tax, you’ll need either a business license or your social security card if you’re the sole owner-proprietor.

What product to buy to keep ants out of the house?

I’ve just discovered ants all around our kitchen sink though we can’t find the source. My husband has looked all around the whole water system with no luck and wants me to buy something like ajax to pour down the sink. Is this the best product? Anyone else ever had ant problems? Only if you bag them up yourself before you go; even then they might not if they are too busy. Banks generally have auto counting and weighing facilities. Small post offices do not.

How do I start a scrapbooking business?

I would like to start a small scrapbooking business in my town. There is already one store, but I would like to start one thats has more items for sell and where people can come to crop as well. What all do I need to do?

I think the first thing you would need to do is to work out a business plan and try to establish whether or not your town is big enough to support 2 scrapbook businesses.

Consider whether the reason they do not stock what you deem to be enough items is that they are not making enough money to purchase more stock.

If you feel there is sufficient scope you will need to:

a) find suitable premises

b) consider refitting to suit your stock

c) purchase stock

d) consider if you are going to work alone or employ staff – if you are going to employ. you will have to check up on current employment legislation.

e) Consider all relevant health & safety legislation

f) take out appropriate public liability insurance in case some one has an accident on your premises.

g) make sure you have sufficient funding to continue in the business when trade is slow.

h) sort out a marketing plan – if people don’t know you’re there they won’t come.

i) establish an internet presence, either just to publicise the business or consider whether you want to sell over the internet.

j) if you have never run a business before check out tax rules, book keeping methods etc.

This is just a list of things which jump into my mind – there will be lots more ot consider but this should give you some food for thought.

If you decide this is too big a jump at present why not offer to run crops and classes in the existing scarp book shop. You could charge for the classes etc and the shop would benefit as it should result in more sales for them.
