Yea, the info is on …
Yea, the info is on the front of the card. The reason I did that is so people knew how to get in touch with me for business and professional inquiries. I could put anything on there as it’s simply a Flash movie projected onto a 3d plane.

I debated about putting something different on there, but for purposes of getting my name out there I’m very glad I didn’t,

Definitely cool execution. But just feels like using AR just to use AR. Coudn’t that info just as easily just been on the card? Why not a video of you, or some added value that only obtainable thru AR? But looks very cool nonetheless.

How does it work exactly? If you record you business card with a camera, will it then automatically show the AR? If not, what makes that useful?

There are two …
There are two things on the back of my business card. One is the marker (symbol). The other is a link to the application on my site, which I’ve added to the description of this video. You can download a print version of my card on the right hand side of that page to use the application.

Essentially, the application uses your webcam and is looking for that particular marker. When it sees the marker, it superimposes a 3d avatar of myself on the card using the orientation of the marker.

if i get your card, how would i be able to see the avatar? thats not clear to me at all..
