Will an SD disc be erased if left laying near a magnet for a period of time?

I have an SD card that contained files, but suddenly wanted me to reformat it. I have recently learned that those files are recoverable. However, I dropped the disk in a drawer when it became corrupted, and it has been sitting near a small magnet for several months. Will it be damaged too badly for a recovery program to work now?
