As the sun rose, Bastion stood upon the shoreline. It had been pretty quick lately, and they haven’t seen a Shadow Rider since Camula. Bastion was ready to face the challenge of taking on a Shadow Rider, and he started looking through his deck. He found a monster card, White Magician Pikeru, and he got angry because he didn’t remember putting it in his deck and put it away. Bastion felt that stupid cards like that are distractions to his dueling.
Later on, Syrus, Chumley, and Jaden where sleeping in their room. Bastion woke them up using his Barrel Dragon and took them out to the beach to do some duel exercises. As they did the exercises, Chumley and Syrus started talking about female monster cards that they have “card crushes” on. Bastion yelled at them for letting stuff like that distract them. Later on, they were class, and Banner noticed alot of students were absent. A female student came in to give Banner a bag that belonged to one of the absent students. The bag was found in the woods, so the Key Keeper’s gathered together and searched the woods. What they found was a giant coliseum, and inside, they found all of the missing students working on building it, including Crowler. Apparently, “she” said for them to do it, and all of a sudden, the gang got attacked by a white tiger. The tiger was tamed by it’s owner, Tanya, an Amazon warrior, who was also the 3rd Shadow Rider. According to Chumley, Amazons are a warrior race of all females. After the students finished building, Tanya paid them with a rare card and sent them on their way. She challenged one of the men to a duel, and after looking them over, chose Bastion as her opponent. Tanya didn’t want his soul though, she wanted him because as the member of a tribe of all women, she needs to search around and marry. She also has two different decks to choose from, Knowledge and Courage. Bastion chose the deck of Knowledge and he chose to use his Earth deck. Bastion was ready to duel Tanya, with his hand in marriage and Spirit Key on the line.
Tanya: summoned Amazoness Swordswoman (1500) and placed one card face down. Bastion: summoned Magnet Warrior Sigma Plus (1800) and destroyed Swordswoman, but her ability made him take the damage instead. Plus, Tanya used her trap, Pride of Tribe, which let her summon another Swordswoman from her deck. Bastion ended his turn with a face down.
Tanya: summoned Amazoness Blowpiper (800), which let Bastion trigger his trap card, Magnet Force Minus. It turned Blowpiper into a “minus monster” and forced her to do battle with Magnet Warrior Sigma Plus. Tanya countered this trap with a magic card, Amazoness Spellcaster, which switched Blowpiper’s attack points with Magnet Warrior, and Magnet Warrior was destroyed and Swordswoman attacked Bastion directly.
Not once, but twice, Tanya has managed to outsmart Bastion. She started flirting with him again, but Bastion refused to let that get to him and was going to prove it by defeating Tanya.
Bastion (1200 LP): played the magic card, Magnet Conductor Plus, which let him bring Sigma Plus back to his hand, but then he discarded both Sigma Plus and Magnet Warrior Omega Minus to the graveyard, to summon Conduction Warrior Linear Plus Minus (2700). His special ability added half the attack points of a minus monster (Blowpiper), and with 3100 attack points, it destroyed Blowpiper. Bastion ended his turn with two face down cards. Tanya (1700 LP): attacked Plus Minus with Swordswoman (because her ability would make Bastion take the damage instead), but he used his face down magic card, Power Off, which separated Linear Plus Minus back to Sigma Plus (1800) and Omega Minus (1900). Tanya also summoned Amazoness Paladin (1700), who’s special ability gives her 100 attack points for every Amazon card on her field, including herself (1900). She ended her turn with two face down cards.
Tanya started again with the flirting, but this time Bastion finally fell under her spell and started getting distracted. He finally realized he was in love with Tanya.
Bastion: played his trap card, One Hundred Thousand Gauss. It activates when he has both a minus and plus monster on the field. It forces Paladin in attack mode and decreases her attack by 800 (1100), but Tanya used her trap, Dramatic Rescue, which let her bring Paladin back to her hand and replace her with Amazoness Tiger (1100), who gets 400 points for every Amazoness card (1900). Plus, Tiger is the only monster he can attack. Bastion figured he could easily beat her, but when Omega Minus attacked Tiger, Tanya used her other trap, Amazoness Archers. It reduced all of Bastion’s monsters by 600 points and made them attack Tiger. All of the monsters were destroyed and Tanya won the duel.
She used her tiger to chase out the rest of the Key Keeper’s and closed the gate behind them. Bastion was now trapped in the coliseum with Tanya, and Jaden promised to get him out.
