I am a frugal bride. I am planning (or at least WAS) to make my own centerpieces and bouquets. My FMIL (who is not financially contributing to the wedding <—that bit is significant b/c I wonder how it impacts how far I should consider her opinions) keeps mentioning that I need to secure a florist for our bouquets (the wedding is in Nov 10) She knows that I was planning on a DIY situation, yet continues to insist I need a florist, to at least arrange the bouquets. My original idea was to have the bridesmaids hold 4 large hydrangea stems wrapped in ribbon (when I came up with the idea I premade one, and loved the look), and myself a bouquet of ivory hydrangeas and ivory roses. Simple enough right? 1. Does she know best because shes been a bride, and has a daughter whose wedding she helped coordinate, or 2. Should I go my route and save hundreds doing them myself, buying floweres thru a close friend who is a wholesale floral supplier (NOT florist, as she does not make arrangements but rather distributes the flowers to wholesale clubs etc.) help!
Definitely do it yourself! Since you have already made them, you know what you are doing and how it will look. I think your idea is really pretty. I made my own. My bridesmaids each had three lilies and three roses with some foliage and I had a dozen roses and three lilies with foliage. I wrapped each one with ribbon and they looked nice. I also made orchid and rose corsages for my mom, his mom, and his two grandmothers. Those were all real flowers. We were on a budget, so the centerpieces were artificial, but I did them too. Each of our parents tables had a larger arrangement of artificial ones and our moms still display them. Since you have the knowledge, skills, and necessary items available, go for it!
EDIT: If you have to, point out other things that you are doing yourself and reassure her that you are not just ignoring her. This may backfire if she says you are doing too much, but a schedule can convince her that this will be done at this time, and that will be done at that time.
I would second Reba that the corsages are difficult. In my experience, they were harder than the bouquets, but still doable and well made.
I’m looking into dropshipping, buying wholesale, selling wholesale, selling to public, I search every day for buying wholesale right from the supplier’s them self. I’m setting up account’s with shipping company’s, I have company’s allready set up. I can buy let’s say 120 muscle shirt’s for $15.00 plus shipping at $35.00 = $50.00 all together = 41 cents a shirt now if you sold each shirt at $5.00 your profit would be $550.00. Now I know what your thinking those shirt’s are cheap and no good. Well what if I said they are made in the USA and that means no duty’s no border fee’s nothing just buy and ship. That’s only one product they sell kids clothing, women, mens, and more, Like I said I have been looking around for the best deal’s and I have found some. I do have more supplier’s every day. I talk to all my supplier’s on the phone about there product’s.
Unfortunately, this is not the type of business that will attract investors (e.g. angel investors and venture capitalists). It’s just not exciting enough for them, and very little potential.
Your best bet is to seek out investors within your circle — family and friends, acquiantances, people in your church, your accountant or lawyer, or people in your contacts.

Does anyone have any contacts through which I could source genuine vintage glasses?
I understand that there are companies specializing in wholesale vintage clothing, and would love to hear if anyone had any contacts for sourcing vintage glasses in wholesale quantities.
I’m aware that sites such as ebay might be a great place to source single pairs, however I’m looking to source multiple pairs from a single supplier at once preferably.
All the best.
I suggest online is the best of options to choose genuine suppliers that leading in manufacturing of genuine vintage glasses and compare prize so try http://www.hellotrade.com/palt-sro/ or search in google.
Hey there,
I’m pretty picky about BBQ/Wing Sauces. Oddly enough, the best sauce is that traditional sauce that is served with wings, often at local pizza places.
I can’t seen to find the sauce they use anywhere. The sauce in question is considered ‘mild’, and is a bit orange in color. Slightly sweet, tangy. I’m almost positive it’s a ‘bargain’ sauce – most would consider the taste cheap.
Does anyone know of a wholesale supplier that supplies this sauce to restaurants, because I can’t seem to find anything similar in stores.
Help?
What you need is Frank’s Red Hot sauce. This is the sauce that was used in the original buffalo wings in in 1964 in Buffalo, NY.
I’ve found large bottles of Frank’s in the past at Sam’s Club, and I’ve also found smaller bottles at the supermarket. Unless you’re going to make buffalo wings every day, a smaller supermarket sized bottle should be enough for you.
Just mix 3 parts Frank’s with 2 parts melted butter and slather it on your cooked wings.
I currently manage a flower shop and video store and we have one supplier already but I’m trying to research others. Does anyone know of how I can find some others to find out who will be the best. I’ve tried google but I keep getting wholesale names and others listed on ebay. I’m looking for suppliers to buy from so I don’t have to run to Wal-mart or best buy to purchase from.
Hi Stacy,
your best bet would be to check out:

They are not only top rated but also provide 100s of wholesale providers for every niche and category. Very popular among resellers and dropshippers as well.
Hope that helps!

My resale store will not only se gently used toys and clothes but I want to sell new items such as sippy cups, bottles, pacifiers, maternity belts, baby lotion & soaps, teething supplies, baby laundry detergent, pregnancy cocoa butters, diapers, wipes and so forth.
I am presently writing out my business plan and applying for my licenses to open the store but I have been search all day and night for vendors and wholesale suppliers for products like Nuby, Gerber, Palmer’s, Dreft, Johnson & Johnson, Pampers and others like those.
Does anyone know of a website or any contact info where I can set up a wholesale order for my store? Please help!
Also, Does anyone have any name Ideas for my Store? It’s a resale store that sells newborn – 5T clothing (Gently used) also gently used baby items such as swings bouncers and high chairs, etc… It also will be selling those brand new items that i mentioned earlier. That’s for all your help….
I will be choosing "Best Answer" Thanks!
Hello!
First thing I would do would google different words like wholesale baby. Then the different products you are interested in carrying. Just play around in google for awhile. Write stuff down or save it because you will not remember where you saw it.
You can also go to ebay. They have a section where you can request what you are looking for….or you can search there under wholesale. You might request ‘gently used bulk baby clothes’ and tell people you will buy up stock. Just a thought. There are a lot of yard sales with baby stuff too.
Google is your best bet though for wholesale searching. That is how I found my products. Sometimes you can not do it in one setting. Sometimes when you search another day you get some new results.
Google marketing is good for small business too. I am a fan of google I guess you can tell. Good luck with your venture… I hope your dreams come true! Love, Patty Ann
I have a 11 month old border collie dog and plan to buy a 3year old BC bitch. I am worried a) about the food bill and b) the disruption to my current dogs routine. Has anyone got two already?
I would like to get a companion for my current dog.
I have been informed that the best quality food for cost effectiveness is buying direct from a farmers wholesale suppliers as opposed to high cost domestic brands i.e hills science plan and pedigree chum.
Any other information you think would be benificial to me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Andy Warnock
Sorry but it doesn’t sound to me like you should get another dog, especially another border collie.
It sounds to me like you are wanting another dog because you don’t spend enough time with the one you already have.
That is one of the worst reasons to buy a second dog.
Also, you are worried about money? Pets deserve owners who can provide them with everything they do and might ever need for the rest of their lives.
I know a few people who "love" their pets and therefore overlook the fact that the conditions they keep them in are less than suitable.
I think that is it good for high energy dogs like border collies to have a play partner BUT you situation sounds far from suitable.
Your border collie will be no better off with a companion if you are not meeting its basic needs for human companionship and exercise and stimulation.
