Microsoft word always had a program that help you set up business cards, I can find nothing like this using Microsoft office 2007. Any suggestions would help. Even if any one can tell me a different program that does business cards free. I downloaded business cards mx but they put a water mark on the finished card.

You can still use Microsoft word for that but you may have hard time adjusting the column size or determining the right spacing. Edit page size, remove borders and margins, and adjust columns.
The free stuff is what you get, not so good.
Another option is google search free business cards. Some companies out there will get you color cards for the price of delivery (maybe $5 at the most).

No way. You’ll never compete with Vistaprint, Staples, etc. .20 each is WAY too high.

I’ve been distributing my service around my community for anyone who wants creative business cards made for them. Basically, instead of just making a template and putting the contact info, I decided I can design the card into the shape of your product, make the letters outstanding, use 3D shapes to get more creative and incorporate interesting colors, real textures and use different materials and shapes to make the card. A few people are interested, and I was wondering how much should I charge? I’d be designing the layout, template and design and adding a creative element, but I won’t be printing.

This will be a difficult business because there are so many free business card templates around. And, about any company that prints cards will offer designs for free. It’s hard to compete with FREE.

My sister and I are starting a babysitting business and we already have the format and the design of the business cards, but i want them to be like as thick as a business card and I want them to be printed out nice. Could i go to like Staples and have them be printed out on card stock or something? Thanks

If you want them to look professional and thick, don’t just go to Staples and use card stock, they will just look like card stock with your info on them. There are plenty of business card companies online like businesscards.com or vistaprint.com. But I have personally used Overnightprints.com and they are GREAT! You get them super fast and the quality is excellent.

Okay, my mother bought this package of Avery business cards and I’ve got everything set, I’ve downloaded it and it’s ready to print but I have NO clue on how to print it off without the business card being a full friggen page!
I’m using Microsoft 2007 btw.

Open Word 2007
Click the mailings tab
Look to the left and click Labels
Click the options button
Under the product section scroll down until you find the Avery product number you purchased (the product number is on the front of the packaging of your business cards)
Click OK
In the address box type in the info you need
When finished click "New document" and this will put the information on a template for multiple business cards
Then print

I am looking to have some business cards made up, but cannot find anywhere online that makes what I want. I want them to be made on black card stock, not white paper printed black. The lettering would be orange along with a particular logo that is orange, yellow, and black. Any suggestions or advice? I HAVE seen business cards printed in color on black card stock so I know it’s possible.

Just as an aside: Black stock can be printed on but you cannot achieve colours like what you’re thinking of on black sheets of paper, whether you use ink or toner. Sorry to break your delusion, it’s a common printing myth that you can print vibrant colours on black paper, which you cannot actually do.

Any card that you’ve seen "printed on black stock" is white stock that has been printed on with black ink/toner. How exactly do you think you mix CMYK *on top* of K and make a colour? Have you ever tried mixing any other colour with black ink and have it turn out as anything other than black?

However, you get sort of an effect like those moving pictures – Where the toner is on the page and you can move it from side to side and get a different effect depending on how the light hits it. You’re thinking you can somehow print colour OVER black, which is impossible.

The *only* way you can get colour onto "black cardstock" is designing your card with pure black backgrounds on both sides. The colour isn’t actually on top of the black, it’s just printed instead of the black. No matter what you "have seen", this is the only possible way to achieve the effect you’re talking about.
