I’m looking for christmas cards that will hold a business card, my save the dates are that size?

Posted by admin on March 1st, 2010 and filed under card magnet | 2 Comments »

My save the dates for my wedding will be going out with my christmas cards, I’d like to have a card that holds them but can’t seem to find anything. They are magnets but the same size as a business card. Anyone have any ideas?

I would not go as far as calling this a ‘tacky’ thing to do. If you are doing it for budget reasons that is fine, however please do know that wedding things should be kept separate from everything else. Besides this is your special day, you shouldn’t have to send it with anything! I sent out my wedding thank yous along with my christmas cards two years ago. Hubby and I sat down, for what seemed like forever hehe, and wrote out each thank you and christmas card. Then addressed and stamped each envelope, so each thank you had its own envelope and each card had its own. We did it this way because 1) wedding and holidays are two separate things, and 2) this way we knew everyone would get a thank you and christmas card, this was very important because we bought a new home and wanted to make sure everyone had our new address.

All that being said don’t kill yourself with getting a christmas card that can hold the save the date. They are probably very expensive anyway. And like I said before if you are doing this for budget reasons you probably don’t have the extra cash anyway, if you must just stick them in the card. Just take a day and send them separately.

Oh and Congrats!

What is that glue used on credit cards when they come in the mail?

I’m making magnet cards and I need the magnets to pop right off the card – but stick there while in transit – I can’t find the right glue to stick ‘em in place!?
I’m not making credit cards! Duh

It’s actually called "Fugitive Glue" (but most of us in the business call it "Booger Glue") If you can’t find the real thing, rubber cement is a good alternative, but it can damage some papers. If you’re mailing a large number of pieces, you can purchase it at http://www.glu-stix.com/shop/page/product_detail/Product/24a8b1b94b2c8ce448edf3d10539c3fa.html

What causes loud humming noise in a permanant magnet dc motor and how to resolve it?

Posted by admin on February 23rd, 2010 and filed under card magnet | 2 Comments »

I have a pro-form treadmill. The drive is a variable speed dc motor. The motor has started making loud humming noise. I replaced the non-drive side bearing thinking that it might be the culprit. No luck. The motor makes noise even when it’s drive belt is removed and is spinning load free. The motor is pretty new and the controller card checks out good as per the voltage diagram. Any ideas?

make sure all the mounting bolts holding the motor are tight, you sure it’s the motor?feel around for the vibration causing the humming, it could be something loose attached near the motor. next, the bearings inside the motor could be bad. you could try grease. not sure if it would be cost effective to change those bearings as you may need a puller and press to change. watch your hair and clothing around spinning parts.

the transformer would humm with the power on and the motor off

does the samsung magnet use a sim card?

Posted by admin on February 21st, 2010 and filed under card magnet | 2 Comments »

Im trying to buy a new phone and im looking at the samsung magnet. I had an LG shine and was wanting to know if the AT&T sim card from that will go in the Samsung Magnet.

Magnet is an ATT issued phone… therefore it will need an ATT sim card

Unless you have it unlocked and then you can put a t-mobile sim card OR a Indian/European/Asia/African sim card in it…

There are only 2 sizes of sim cards on Earth.. Size 1–credit card size… Size 2—thumbnail size…. the ATT standard is thumbnail size……however when we sell Sim Cards—they come already ’snapped" into the credit card size—just in case there is a customer still using a VERY VERY VERY old cell phone… to unsnap the thumbnail sim–simply push it out like a piece of a puzzle

but, agian, all ATT sims are trasnferable to all ATT phones

Automated Magnet Attaching System

Posted by admin on February 20th, 2010 and filed under card magnet | No Comments »

This automated system takes a roll of magnets, applies adhesive and cuts the magnet at the desired size. The Pineberry friction feeders will the precisely drop a business card and pad/calendar onto the lugged in-feed conveyor. The lugged conveyor ensures straight, accurate attaching of the calendar and business card to the magnet each time.
