Students in lab measure the speed of a steel ball launched horizontally from a table top to be 3.6 m/s. If the?
Students in lab measure the speed of a steel ball launched horizontally from a table top to be 3.6 m/s. If the table top is 1.0 m above the floor, where should they place a 20 cm tall tin coffee can to catch the ball when it lands?
____m
Steps:
1) Split problem into x and y components, or horizontal and vertical
2) Calculate time using y components
3) Substitute this answer into same equation for x component, solving for d
Final answer: 65.46 cm
Note: This answer assumes that the ball is launched at the very edge of the table and that the ball lands at the very left edge of the can (if the ball is launched to the right)

Thanksgiving Songs, etc. (Indian theme for Kindergarten)?!?
I am looking for some ideas for Thanksgiving activities for my K class. I think that I am going to have them make indian headbands and use patterns and have various shapes. I also am going to have them make indian drums (cover coffee tins with construction paper). I really am looking for some songs that we would be able to somehow fit a drum-like rhythm to..HELP! Thanks!!
I make handprint/footprint turkeys. Paint their hands whatever colors they want, then use them as the feathers. Use their foot (painted brown) and toes (4 painted orange. 1brown) for the body and feet. Glue on google eyes, beak, and waddle.
I also color corn (with food coloring and water) and let the kids make cool designs with it. We’ve also made the headbands, but sometimes make a turkey head on the front with feathers on top for the turkey’s feathers. Very cute!
My kids’ favorite Thanksgiving song:
I’m a little turkey,
Short and fat.
Here are my feathers, here is my hat.
Gobble, gobble, gobble is what I say.
Quick! Run! It’s Thanksgiving Day!
It could use a simple drumbeat with it…Have fun!

The tin of coffee is $9.99 for 1.36kg. How much does it cost per gram?
The tin of coffee is $9.99 for 1.36kg. How much does it cost per gram?
1.36 kg = 1360 grams [ 1kg = 1000 grams ]
So,
For 1360 g , it costs $ 9.99
For 1 g, it will cost $ 9.99/1360 = $ 0.007345 = ¢ 0.7345
So, coffee costs ¢ 0.7345 per gram
Hope this helps!!

What is the difference between coffee mate and marval?
I was looking for a milk powder to use just in case I run out of Milk. I only wanted a small tin, and Marval only had the big tins, so i got Coffee mate- thing is i don’t drink coffee! But they are both Milk Powder’s aren’t they? So whats the difference.
Wrong!
Coffee mate is not milk powder and you can’t use it as milk if you want to drink it alone. It’s just for adding to coffee. The ingredients are as below (from Nestle website):
glucose syrup, hydrogenated vegetable oil (may contain coconut, palm kernel and/or soybean oil), sodium caseinate, dipostassium phosphate, sodium aluminum silicate, monoglycerides, acetylated tartaric acid esters of mono- and dyglycerides, artificial flavour, colour

Any creative ideas for a resume? Executive in a creative field. Need some inspiration.?
I want my resume to get noticed and was wondering if anyone out there has any creative ideas like maybe sending it in a box of cookies or tin of coffee or something???
Suggestions:
-Use unconventional packaging or graphic design (must look very professional–think "celebrity A-list party invitation", magic square, pop-up card)
-Unconventional format–resume written as a classified ad, screenplay, newspaper, press release, etc. (have your friends check-won’t work unless it comes off as sophisticated and, obviously, no grammar/spelling errors)
Don’t make it too hard to access information/read, but make it intriguing! Use it to showcase your creative skills–if you’re better at graphic design/art, make it a display of your design skills. If you’re an excellent copywriter, focus on the text.
Good luck!

What was the most memorable cup of coffee you ever had in your life.?
Mine was in a little coffee shop outside of Ft. Hood, Texas. after being in the field for a couple weeks it sure was nice to sit there with nothing to do but enjoy a civilized, bottomless cup-of-Joe with my buddy. I still remember the tin-a-ling type of noise that the spoon made as it hit the China cup……..soothing..
The one I had today morning.

Don’t you find it amazing that "Geoge of the Jungle" didn’t die from eating a whole tin of grinded coffee…
at his girlfriends high-tech home? You should have seen it … my dear, he became so hyperactive I would imagine he would have collapsed of a heart attack or something similar. Don’t you think so?
Or that he kept slamming into that tree over and over again?

do you remember that ghastly sickly sugary tinned milked we used to put in tea and coffee?
I think you are referring to condensed milk, used more in baking. And
not the evaporated milk we used in coffee and was used as baby
formula when I was a baby. The condensed is sweet and sticky. I
have made the mistake in the past of buying the wrong one.
Although I had to stop drinking coffee, before I did, I was using some
of the flavored creamers, that are oh so wonderful. But when I saw
that that creamer, went straight to my hips. Well, that put an end to
those, unfortunately.
