Would it be legal or illegal to do so?

Thanks

If you don’t have their permission (best, in writing from the principal), the school might press charges for criminal mischief. The level of the offense would depend on the value of the "damage", which would be at least the cost of removing the messages.

Additionally, many post-its would detach, fly away and litter the community. Littering is criminal too.

Inspirational messages can be posted on billboards at a much lower cost in money and labor, and for free on Twitter and Facebook. If you have more time and money than you know what to do with, I seriously suggest you and your friends go feed the hungry in your community and a few neighboring ones.

I wrote a rent check dated on the fifth of the month, but attached a post-it note to it asking my landlord to not cash it until the 9th. We have done this before, as he has said its okay if we’re running a little late on rent, he just wanted to have a check in his hands. Fine. But the other day, we apparently angered him, and now he’s trying to get back at us by saying because the check had a post-it note attached, it make it a postdated check, thereby making rent late and charging a late fee.

From what I’ve read so far, a postdated check has to have something physically written on the check for it to be postdated In this case, the post-it note will be detached when it is going to be cashed. Am I right?

Please only answer if you know what you’re talking about

The attached post it note, does not make the check post dated.
He could have ignored your note and deposited the check anyhow.

A post dated check is a check you write today, July 9th, but date it for July 12th.

He is being a hard nose, ask him what is up with that!
