How do shipping labels work?

Posted by admin on July 20th, 2010 and filed under shipping labels | 1 Comment »

I don’t really understand what shipping labels are or how they work. The reason I ask is someone told me if a customer ships me a package and includes and extra shipping label I could send it back to them for free. What does this mean and how does it work?

The customer can use a regular shipping label on which he puts his account number on it so that his account gets billed. Another way is used by companies that have shipping from somebody else back to them billed to the company account. UPS and Fedex will pre-print labels with the company’s address as the "to" address. Also, many companies use the on-line systems to print labels on regular paper that goes into a shipping envelope.

Every shipping label has a unique tracking number on it. This number helps route the package to the proper destination and lets the shipping companies verify that the proper shipping fees are paid.

I hope this helps.

what are shipping labels for? I’ve seen my mom ship things off to me and my sister’s homeschooling program plenty of times without that thing on it. She wrote an address on it; i’m not sure if it was theirs or ours.

Thanks!

Prepaid shipping labels? You pay online, print label and ship. I think that’s what you are asking? No?

Alternative to Endicia ( Save Money & Time )

Posted by admin on April 21st, 2010 and filed under shipping labels | 2 Comments »

Do you get 5, 10, 20 or even hundreds of orders a day? From sites like Amazon, iOffer, buy.com, etc.. ?
Are you tired of manually copying and pasting each part of a customer’s address into Paypal multi-order shipping or are you tired of paying $10+ a month to Endicia. Well then this may be the solution you been looking for, I coded this site myself because I myself am a seller on Amazon who gets around 30 orders a day, and do not want to pay $10 a month to Endicia.

Basically what my site does is it allows you to use the best feature in my opinion that Endicia offers, which is copying the whole address instead of copying parts of the address part by part. So for example when its that time of the day when your going to print the shipping labels, all you have to do is copy each address completely and just paste it into the box and then once all addresses are in the box. Hit submit and it will create a .csv file onto your desktop and it follows the format that Paypal Multi-Order shipping uses, so you just simply upload it to Paypal. Simple as that, saves tons of time and is a lot more accurate.

If you are interested in using my site, please contact me. Thank you for watching
