Im trying to trade in some things with amazon but it says print shipping label. Is this necessary or can I use my own shipping labels? Thanks in advance for helping me

It is required that you print out the shipping label Amazon gives you because it has a bar code for tracking, order numbers, and other needed information for the customer and the shippers.

When you print the shipping label out from Amazon, it is possible to print it out on regular paper and tape it onto your package, but you have to be extremely careful about where you put the tape so that it doesn’t interfere with the bar code. We’ve got a short blog post about that here: http://info.pcforms.com/diy-printing-blog/bid/26211/why-can-t-i-tape-over-the-barcode-on-my-usps-shipping-label

It’s mostly about Click-n-Ship with USPS, but the same principles apply for all shipping labels.

Alternatively, you could print the shipping label out on a shipping label sheet and then just peel and place your label so you don’t have to worry about the bar code. Here’s an information page we have about Amazon shipping labels that includes links to some of our products that would work well for Amazon shipping label sheets: http://pcforms.com/shipping-labels-for-amazon//

Good luck!
This time the address the buyer supplied is in Hebrew, and I am not sure whether, I should keep it like that or translate it on the label. If I do not translate it how will the USPS understand it? Thanks!
Ok, the buyer did provide the country in English, but that was the only thing. Thanks!

The only requirement of the USPS is that the country be written in English.

If you’re using a laser printer, this can happen easily since laser printers can get rather hot. We have a tool to help you pick what kind of paper would best run through your printer. You don’t have to go out to buy a whole new printer. (=

The shipping labels are supposed to be 4×6 inches, but I’ve been told by sellers on both ebay and amazon to reduce the size of the shipping labels to save on ink.How can I reduce the size using Firefox as a browser?

While on the Web using Firefox Browser, look up to the top left page. You should see the orange tab with the word Firefox.Click on the tab, then go down to PRINT, set cursor over the word and a side bar opens.Click on the words PRINT PREVIEW.Look on the middle top bar for the word SCALE,there should be a number with a percentage next to it.Change the number to 70 or 70%…..60 % is too small for the postal service. You can scroll to the bottom and select CUSTOM.Then type in 65%.
If you use Internet Explorer, look for an empty space on the web page.RIGHT click on it, then a huge tab will show up.Look for PRINT PREVIEW, click on it.Look on the middle top bar for the word SCALE,there should be a number with a percentage next to it.Change the number to 70 or 70%…..60 % is too small for the postal service. You can scroll to the bottom and select CUSTOM.Then type in 65%.This works!

No you can just print them out on a normal printer and then either glue or tape the label to the parcel.

Depending on the postal system of your Country you may need to know the exact size and weight of the parcel before you can buy a shipping label. In the UK it’s a pretty useless feature so what I do is click on the "order details" link and then copy & paste the address and print it out, then I take it the post office and buy stamps as usual.

I don’t really understand what shipping labels are or how they work. The reason I ask is someone told me if a customer ships me a package and includes and extra shipping label I could send it back to them for free. What does this mean and how does it work?

The customer can use a regular shipping label on which he puts his account number on it so that his account gets billed. Another way is used by companies that have shipping from somebody else back to them billed to the company account. UPS and Fedex will pre-print labels with the company’s address as the "to" address. Also, many companies use the on-line systems to print labels on regular paper that goes into a shipping envelope.

Every shipping label has a unique tracking number on it. This number helps route the package to the proper destination and lets the shipping companies verify that the proper shipping fees are paid.

I hope this helps.
