Do I have to print PayPal shipping labels confirmation page?

Posted by admin on March 31st, 2010 and filed under shipping labels | 1 Comment »

I sell on Ebay and print my shipping labels through PayPal. I only want to print the shipping label which is on one half of the paper, and NOT the online label record which gets printed out on the other half of the paper thus wasting one of my labels. That might sound confusing but anyone who uses Paypal shipping probably knows what I’m talking about. Thanks

I sell on ebay as well and as far as I’m concerned you can’t change it. Isn’t there a dotted line you cut? That’s what I do. I think it’s just part of what prints out.

Anyone tried a Dymo label printer? Like it better than using a standard printer for shipping labels?

I’ve been using a printer that does nicely w/the 1/2 sheet style labels, but I notice that some people have labels that take less space. I’m wondering how they are doing it, and if it’s a better choice.

Oh yes, they’re good and the support is good as well. I know that Zebra makes really good label printers as well. I use them for UPS shipping labels. For PayPal I often just print on regular paper and then lots of tape….. For the dymo there are SOOOO many different sizes of labels and its easy to configure to one size.

Do I need to order shipping labels or can I just type address on a piece of paper and tape that to a package?

Posted by admin on March 19th, 2010 and filed under shipping labels | 2 Comments »

I never shipped anything before, so I was wondering if the USPS has any strict regulations regarding shipping labels or anything. I don’t feel like buying any labels from the post office, so I was wondering if I could just type out the addresses on my computer, print it out, cut out the addresses, and just tape that to a package?

You can do it as you describe.

Or, you can do it even more simply by printing it on the box or outside of the package.

USPS is not all that picky about labels. But it must be legible, and it’s a good idea to put transparent tape over it so it won’t get smudged.

Another good idea is to put the address inside the package as well, in case the outside one encounters rain and can’t be read. The PO would open it hoping to find that 2nd copy of the address.

How do you print and use Paypal/Ebay shipping labels?

Posted by admin on March 9th, 2010 and filed under shipping labels | 1 Comment »

I want to start using the shipping labels that are printable on eBay. I’ve been researching it on the internet and it’s not coming up with much information. I was looking on eBay and thinking of purchasing labels for USPS that already have the bar code and everything. Is this a good way to get your labels? Are these stickers that just stick to the package? Or is it better to buy plain white labels? I plan on using these with USPS flat mail boxes and envelopes.

You do this thru the PayPal site. Next to the line item will be a drop down arrow and you can choose print shipping label there. From there you can purchase shipping through USPS.
