How much tobacco is in a "pouch"?

I’m wanting to pick up pipe smoking, and looking at tobacco online most of it is sold in a tin which resembles a coffee can, and a pouch. The pouch seems to run around six dollars. How many pipes worth of tobacco is in a pouch?

There are a lot of factors, on how many pipes you will be able to fill with one pouch, or one tin of pipe tobacco. A lot of the tins differ in size. If you have a collection of pipes, which any serious pipe smoker does, many pipes will hold different amounts of pipe tobacco. For me with a 1.5 ounce of pipe tobacco, I can get 10 to 15 pipe fulls out of the pouch. All in all, smoking a pipe is much cheaper than smoking a cigaratte. Plus it smells better, and pipe smokers don’t inhale, it is much safer.
