You can still use Microsoft word for that but you may have hard time adjusting the column size or determining the right spacing. Edit page size, remove borders and margins, and adjust columns.
The free stuff is what you get, not so good.
Another option is google search free business cards. Some companies out there will get you color cards for the price of delivery (maybe $5 at the most).
References :
It is required that you print out the shipping label Amazon gives you because it has a bar code for tracking, order numbers, and other needed information for the customer and the shippers.

When you print the shipping label out from Amazon, it is possible to print it out on regular paper and tape it onto your package, but you have to be extremely careful about where you put the tape so that it doesn't interfere with the bar code. We've got a short blog post about that here: http://info.pcforms.com/diy-printing-blog/bid/26211/why-can-t-i-tape-over-the-barcode-on-my-usps-shipping-label

It's mostly about Click-n-Ship with USPS, but the same principles apply for all shipping labels.

Alternatively, you could print the shipping label out on a shipping label sheet and then just peel and place your label so you don't have to worry about the bar code. Here's an information page we have about Amazon shipping labels that includes links to some of our products that would work well for Amazon shipping label sheets: http://pcforms.com/shipping-labels-for-amazon//

Good luck!
